ABOUT

Nic F. Anderson is a New York City-based reporter, filmmaker and artist. Anderson's work has appeared in CNN, Journal & Topics News Group newspapers, indie magazines, literary journals, film festivals and art galleries across the Midwest and New York City.

Anderson has received a master’s degree in urban reporting and documentary film from Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism; a bachelor’s degree in communications, media and theater from Northeastern Illinois University; an an associates degree in liberal arts from Wilbur Wright College.

Daily duties include researching, investigating and writing breaking news stories; working with various departments to book, record and monitor feeds for the United Nations, NY Governor, NYC Mayor and others, as needed; scouring the internet and social media for potential stories to elevate to a national or international level. Other duties include assisting producers and editors to aid in online and TV packages, assisting in the field as a runner/production assistant, live logging/transcribing, ingesting photos and videos into the internal system, amongst other tasks.
